Imagine by Alison Lester
A vivid introduction to animals from all parts of the world, portraying them in their specialised environments with intricately detailed pictures.
Imagine provides a wonderful introduction to the natural world, with pictures to explore again and again. Imagine yourself deep in the jungle, under the sea, in a land of ice and snow, on a farm, in the moonlit bush, on an African plain, in a prehistoric swamp…Then turn the page and find all the animals living there. A wonderful introduction to the natural world with intricate pictures to explore again and again, and a key to help you name all the animals.
A fantastic book for little kids
A fantastic book for little kids, the drawings are fantastically detailed. Together with your young reader you can find animals hidden in their habitats. Spanning across coral reefs, rain forests, Africa, Australia, Arctic Regions, Prehistoric Animals, and the farm.
On each page you are greeted with a different setting, that transports readers to exotic locations. Within the borders surrounding each scene are the names of the animals hidden within.
Unfortunately, for those ambitious to try and match the names to the pictures there is no key or map at the end of the book to help you find the elusive guillemot of tiger quoll (or some of the other little known animals. But I believe this adds to the charm of the book because it keeps you coming back for more.
